Cutbacks Leave Rural Oregon Law Enforcement Struggling

Many areas of law enforcement will go unenforced.

This March 18, 2011 file photo shows razor wire circling the inmate garden at the Josephine County Jail in Grants Pass, Ore. The failure of a $12 million levy has forced layoffs of 70 people in the Josephine County Sheriff's office, requiring the release of about 90 inmates. With only 28 uniformed and civilian staff left, the sheriff's office will only have enough jail deputies guard 30 inmates. (AP Photo/Jeff Barnard)
